The exhibition is structured as a double retrospective of works using various techniques, but always inspired by an animal. This unconventional exhibition will present to visitors not only pictures of animals painted in early childhood, but also prestigious commissions of recent years. Fine art continuously passes into applied art, resulting in unexpected experiments. The animal sculptures by Veronika Richterová made of PET bottles, which she created in the last three years, will be a surprise in terms of their originality. The exhibition also reflects Michal Cihlář’s nine-year collaboration with the Zoo in Prague, which thanks to his linocuts has acquired its unique image. The exhibition will be accompanied by a comprehensive 128-page catalogue with almost three hundred animal reproductions.
