Organized by Smålands museum — Swedish Glass Museum in Växjö in partnership with the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the exhibition is a survey of the very best artworks of 20th-century Swedish glass, held to commemorate the end of the year of the Czech Republic’s and Sweden’s EU Presidency. Both countries have enjoyed a long tradition of collaboration and mutual inspiration in the field of industrially manufactured glass and studio art glass. Furthermore, the exhibition documents the creative trends in glass during the 20th century jointly shared by the two countries. A small catalogue has been published to accompany the exhibition.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of Her Excellency Ms. Catherine von Heidenstam, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Czech Republic.

The exhibition has been supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
