Buildings designed by Josef Gočár, Jaroslav Fragner and others in photographs by Josef Sudek

Josef Sudek’s independent photography enjoys popularity and international renown, yet there still are areas of his photographic output that remain virtually unknown. This is the case of hundreds of photographs made on commission: portraits, documentary and commercial photographs, reproductions of artworks and, last but not least, photographs of modern architecture.

The more than eighty images of contemporary buildings designed by accomplished Czech architects have never been shown in such a comprehensive manner before. The photographs were taken between the 1920s and the 1950s.

An interactive programme complements the exhibition.
