The Museum presents in the Kamenice nad Lipou Castle the first part of the permanent display called Wrought Ironworks from the Collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.

The collection of the Museum includes a series of grilles, railings, various types of applied metal fittings, keys dating back from the Roman period to the 19th century, a series of locks, doorknockers and wrought iron chests. This particular collection has been acquired through the donations of various individuals (such as Knight Vojtěch Lanna, Knight Jan Neuberg, Knight Eduard Daubek and Bohumil Bondy). Part of the collection was purchased at various auctions in cities throughout Europe (Paris and Vienna, in particular). However, most of the objects were purchased from private collectors.

The permanent display is placed in the Renaissance hall of the castle.
