The lecturer will show you through the Czech Cubism permanent exhibition that features furniture suites and individual furniture pieces, accompanied by household accessories made of ceramics, glass and metals that represent the most distinguished artists of Czech Cubism. These are the noted architects and designers Pavel Janák, Josef Gočár, Josef Chochol, Vlastislav Hofman, Otakar Novotný and František Kysela. Their works are complemented by a selection of Cubist paintings created by Emil Filla, Bohumil Kubišta, Josef Čapek and Václav Špála, and sculptures by Otto Gutfreund. The exhibition also explores the internationally renowned phenomenon of Czech Cubist architecture.
